Robert Weinberg is a Professor of Biology at MIT; his research is in the area of oncogenes. Weinberg is also affliated with the Broad Institute and the Whitehead Institute. He co-teaches introductory biology (7.012) with Eric Lander.

He won the National Medal of Science in 1997, and he is a member of the Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences.
